Privacy policy

PaySight is made by Digitier, LLC, Riverside, California. This policy covers the PaySight app and the paysight.com website. We wrote it to be read.

The short version

• Your family's balances, jobs, jars, rentals, and history are stored on your devices and, if you keep iCloud sync on, in your own iCloud account. Digitier cannot see them.
• Children never create accounts and never enter personal information. A parent creates each child's profile and controls it.
• There are no ads, no advertising trackers, and no analytics that identify you.
• The only thing this website collects is the email you give us for the early-access list.

What the app stores, and where

Child profiles (a first name, an emoji, an allowance amount, an optional phone number a parent enters), the ledger of every allowance, bonus, deduction, job, jar move, rental, and purchase, the behaviours and rental items you set up, and the parent PIN, stored as a one-way hash. All of it is on your device. With iCloud sync on, Apple stores a copy in your private iCloud database so your other devices and a co-parent signed into the same Apple ID stay in step. Digitier has no server that receives this data and no way to read your iCloud database.

Children

PaySight is used by families with children under 13. The app is designed so that no personal information is collected from a child: profiles are created by a parent, the app has no child accounts, no chat, no external links a child can reach in kid mode, and no advertising. A parent can delete a child's profile at any time from the app, which removes all of that child's data from the device and from iCloud. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through this website, contact us through the form on digitier.com and we will delete it.

Notifications

If you turn on pay-day reminders or rent something with a timer, the app schedules local notifications on your device. They never leave the phone.

Apple Cash

When you choose Apple Cash as a payment method, PaySight opens the Messages app with the amount written in. Sending the money is done by you, in Messages, through Apple. PaySight does not process payments and does not see your Apple Cash account.

The website

When you join the early-access list we record your email address, the time, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string so we can tell real signups from automated ones. We use it to send you one email when PaySight is ready, and to answer if you write to us. We do not sell or share it. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics.

Your choices

To leave the early-access list or have your email deleted, reply to any email we send, or write to us through the contact form at digitier.com. In the app, everything is yours to delete: remove a child, remove the app, or turn off iCloud sync.

Changes

If we launch the family plan with real money, this policy will change substantially before that feature is available, and the effective date above will change with it.
